Parliamentary Leader of Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians Syed Ali Haider Gillani and Senator Bushra Anjum Butt visited Sundas Foundation Lahore.Met with patients, distributed gifts and praised the Foundation’s exceptional work in treating blood disorders like thalassemia and hemophilia.
Lahore: Parliamentary Leader of Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians Syed Ali Haider Gillani and Chairperson of the Senate Standing Committee on Federal Education and Professional Training, Senate of Pakistan, Senator Bushra Anjum Butt visited Sundas Foundation Lahore.
During the visit, the distinguished guests met with children undergoing treatment, distributed gifts among them, and reviewed the medical facilities provided by the Foundation for patients suffering from thalassemia, hemophilia and other blood disorders.
Founder and President of Sundas Foundation Muhammad Yaseen Khan, Director Khalid Abbas Dar and the Foundation’s management warmly welcomed the guests. Medical Director Dr. Adnan Gillani briefed them in detail about the medical services, advanced treatment facilities, modern equipment and blood management system offered by the Foundation. He shared that Sundas Foundation provides free blood and treatment to hundreds of patients every month while maintaining global healthcare standards. Additionally, he highlighted the Foundation’s initiatives on genetic screening and new research programs aimed at prevention and early diagnosis.
Speaking to the media at the conclusion of the visit, Syed Ali Haider Gillani praised the remarkable humanitarian services of Sundas Foundation, stating that the organization truly deserves appreciation for its dedication. He added that efforts are underway for legislation at both the provincial and federal levels to address thalassemia, with significant support from Punjab’s Minister for Health, Khawaja Salman Rafique. “Our goal is to take every possible measure for the treatment and prevention of this disease. The legislation will include mandatory pre-marital medical testing for men, along with other steps aimed at preventing the transmission of the disease from generation to generation. Our efforts will continue so that, if possible, a thalassemia patient can live even a single extra day due to our actions,” he remarked.
On the occasion, Senator Bushra Anjum Butt said, “This is my third visit to Sundas Foundation, and I highly appreciate the services being provided here. The institution is delivering excellent medical care for patients with blood disorders, and I am pleased to see the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness maintained. I extend my heartfelt appreciation to Sundas Foundation for its commendable work.”
Founder and President Muhammad Yaseen Khan shared that for over four decades, Sundas Foundation has been dedicated to providing free treatment, blood supply, care, and hope for children affected by thalassemia, hemophilia, and other blood diseases. The organization’s services have been widely recognized both nationally and internationally with notable figures from diverse walks of life showing their support and strengthening this mission.
At the end of the visit, Founder and President Muhammad Yaseen Khan expressed his gratitude to the distinguished guests for their visit and presented them with commemorative shields.
