Sundas Foundation

Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz Sharif visited Sundas Foundation on the occasion of World Thalassemia Awareness Day, May 8, 2022. Other government machinery, concerned officials and heads of other welfare agencies of the country were also present on the occasion. CM Punjab also met thalassemia patients’ kids individually. Chief Minister Punjab, Muhammad Hamza Shahbaz Sharif visited Sundas Foundation on the occasion of World Thalassemia Awareness Day. Chief Minister Punjab was received warmly by the President of Sundas Foundation Muhammad Yaseen Khan. Senior Journalist and Director Sundas Foundation Sohail Warraich and Senior Columnist Asif Affan were also present there. Where Member Punjab Assembly Khawaja Salman Rafique, Khawaja Imran Nazir, Majid Zahoor, Secretary Specialized Health Care and Medical Education, Commissioner Lahore, DC Lahore, Nobel Prize Laureate Executive Director of Akhuwat Dr. Amjad Saqib, Senior Journalist / Analyst Hasan Nisar, Shoaib bin Aziz, Atta ul Haq Qasmi, Najam Wali, Rais Ansari, Arshad Ansari, Imran Goraya, and other relevant officials had also attended the event. The Chief Minister visited a state of art laboratory, high tech blood transfusion section and well equipped blood bank as well. He praised the foundation for providing healthy blood to these thalassemia and hemophilia children as well as the noble cause. He further appreciated the services of the Foundation and said that Sundas Foundation is doing a great job for humanity which is un-measureable worldly, but simply earning Allah’s blessings by all means. He also admired Munnoo Bhai that he had dedicated his whole life for these thalassemia children, and Sundas Foundation is also following his footsteps and serving, to bring thousands of innocent children back to life, with the same spirit. Chief Minister met thalassemia children individually and distributed fruit baskets among them. He also had selfies with these kids. A little girl, one of the Thalassemia patients, sung a poem to Chief Minister about Mother’s Love. He also shared few memories of his life, about his mother, with them. While talking about his mother, he said it makes me emotional. He also greeted to all the mothers as it was Mother’s Day too. Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Hamza Shahbaz Sharif also announced full support of the government for all the charitable organizations.
