ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Housing and Works, Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada, inaugurated new facilities at the Sundas Foundation Islamabad Center, further enhancing care for Thalassemia and Hemophilia patients. The additions include electric carts for patient transport, a dedicated classroom for children, and activation rooms designed to boost patient engagement and support. Notably, this marks the first-ever formal education initiative for children undergoing treatment at the center.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Sundas Foundation President Yasin Khan, veteran actor and Director Khalid Abbas Dar, and Air Vice Marshal (Retd.) Aftab Hussain, Director of Sundas Foundation Islamabad. Air Vice Marshal Aftab Hussain welcomed the Federal Minister and provided a detailed briefing on the foundation’s services and impact.

Speaking at the event, Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada commended Sundas Foundation’s relentless efforts, stating, "It is an honor to witness firsthand the dedication and care provided to children battling Thalassemia. The services here are truly invaluable."

The minister stressed the urgent need to raise awareness about Thalassemia, advocating for pre-marital screening to reduce the disease’s prevalence. He also urged educational institutions, businesses, and philanthropists to support Sundas Foundation in its mission to provide free treatment to patients across Pakistan.

Sundas Foundation President Yasin Khan expressed gratitude for the support and reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to expanding its services nationwide.

With these new facilities now operational, the Sundas Foundation Islamabad Center continues to strengthen its mission of delivering quality healthcare, education, and hope to children suffering from blood disorders.
